Science Week Competition Winners!

Loads of pupils entered the Library Science Week competitions. There were winners for the Word Search, the Crossword and the Guess the Science Object - which was very difficult. Congratulations to all who entered, and to those who won prizes.

The High School achieves Wellread National Award

The High School achieved the Wellread National Award, for reading and literacy. This was presented at Citywest Hotel, as part of a PDST awards ceremony. Below are members of the Wellread Committee, as well as winners of last year's Readathon.

Space Week


The Library helped to celebrate Space Week, with book and poster displays, quizzes and word searches. Winners were selected at random, from those who handed in a completed quiz or word search. Winners received Mars Bars, Milky Ways and Galaxys!!


Banned Books

September 24 - 30th is Banned Books Week. The Library had a display of some books that were banned worldwide in 2016. Many of these are in The High School Library!

World Book Day

World Book Day Thursday 2nd March  Bring a Book, Buy a Book

World Book Day World Book Day is Thursday 2nd March. Come to the Library and take out your favourite book! Free book tokens also available - call to Ms Wiggle and she will give you a book token to take away.

Come up to the Library on World Book Day and join in the "Bring a Book, Buy a Book" - drop in a book you have finished with, and buy a new one for only €2! All monies collected are in aid of St. Michael's House, who provide services for people with intellectual disabilities. You might be able to pick up a bargain!!
